Flexible Lesson Options and Convenient Scheduling
Drum lessons at AJW Drum Academy are offered in 30, 45, or 60-minute sessions, allowing flexibility based on your schedule and level of commitment. Our one-on-one lessons are available from Monday to Saturday in our studio located in Brookvale, on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

Minimum age requirement for lessons
At AJW Drum Academy, we welcome students of all skill levels, but we do have a minimum age requirement for new enrollments. Students must be at least 8 years old and in Year 3 of school to start drum lessons.
This requirement ensures students can get the most out of their drumming journey. Here’s why:
- Adult-Sized Drum Equipment: The Academy uses professional drum kits designed for adults, which can be challenging for younger children to manage.
- Coordination and Focus: Based on years of experience, we’ve found that students under 8 often haven’t developed the coordination and concentration needed to fully benefit from lessons.
By setting this age guideline, AJW Drum Academy ensures a rewarding and effective learning experience for every student.
